This product is not smooth like the product image shows. If you look at the review examples, the product has a pattern appearance, which is not smooth.

It is not the glossy black I ordered. It is the same thick bumpy version I see all over Amazon. I ordered this specifically because it was glossy and a more reasonable price.Update: these are bigger, thicker, and tough enough to withstand the multiple handgrips my passengers and I do to close the doors. They haven’t budged so they’re actually holding up better than I thought. Bumped up to four stars

Easy way to stop chipping the door lol. Easy install 👌. Seems like decent rubber material. Glue tape is sufficient to do the job. Looks good if you cut and measure right. Also, it moulds well with hot air. 🔥 buy it at least just get ppl off ur back about hitting their car because you can show the rubber protection. 🤪

Parking in our tight garage resulted in the car doors constantly hitting our storage shelving. Installed these on the car doors a few months ago. They were relatively easy to install and have remained secure to the doors through the various weather conditions. Best part is it totally solved our door/shelf ding problem. The door may whack the shelf but both come away unscathed.

This "car door protector" edge trim is great if you can get it to stay on. It won't stay on at all unless you use the double-sided tape that's provided.The tape is the problem. It's nearly impossible to separate the tape from the red colored backing that comes with it. If you are able to get it separated, great care is needed to get the gooey tape inside the edge trim before putting on the edge of your car door. If you can actually get it on, it looks and works great.
