Four stars because I just put it on, unsure about how it will last. Product looks attractive and perfectly matches the Race Red on my Bronco. 1 16 foot roll did my tailgate and both doors.

My new car is navy blue. Our garage is narrow. The guards look great, do the job, and we're easy to install. Recommended

It's a standard U-channel trim. Great to cut to the length of your car door to protect the edges of the door from chipping when they get swung open into something else. There are a bunch of little metal U-shaped pieces embedded inside this rubber trim, so when you cut it (either with heavy shears or carpenter knife to cut inbetween the metal pieces) you still have the strength to hold onto the door's edge, but it's still easy to cut.

Couslcd Car Door Edge Guards ReviewI just got a new-to-me 2024 Chevy pickup and I wanted to protect my door edges from chips, as well as protect any vehicles parked next to me when I open my doors. This brand seems to be well-built and the black color went well with my very dark gray pickup paint job. It looks factory-installed.The edging is VERY easy to install. You just begin at your chosen starting point spot by pushing the open gap tightly along the thin edge of your vehicle door. Keep pushing the edging inwards and work your way down the edge of the door until you have extended it enough for your liking. (I suggest you go down so that gravity works with you, not against you.) It might look a little "lumpy until you get to the last step (see below).Once you've reached your limit, cut off the excess. Then take a a hammer-like tool (I used a plastic mallet) and lightly tap all along the covered edge of the door. Go up and down several times trying to seat the edging as securely as possible and to smooth out all those little lumps. That's all there is to it.There was enough to do the most important areas on all four of my trucks doors with about 2 feet left over. You can pull it off at any time. If it comes loose, pull off the strip and carefully (very lightly) pinch the the wider edges of the guard closer together again with a padded pliers or careful taps of a hammer so it can grab your door better. Try to match the gap of the rest of the strip. You may even want to pinch that gap the whole length of the strip just a tiny bit for best adhesion. However, if the edging gets damaged and can no longer hold that "U" shape, then it's time to replace that whole strip.NOTE: You will want a stout cutting tool like a sharp side cutters or beefy utility scissors to cut this material as it is lined inside with metal.

I have a folding kayak and the edges are sharp when folding and unfolding it, also sometimes while paddling it can scrape your hand. This is my second kayak and I knew I would need more of this product to put along the edges. It works great and adds to the look of the kayak as well. It stays put and does not pull away from the edges when folding or unfolding or while on the water.

My husband got the door guards to prevent the dings and scratches you get from opening the door and bumping them against a hard surface. Most of the time it is opening the door in the garage and with cement walls, it can war the edges off over time. In our garage we had put an adhesive rubber panel on the walls but having these guards on the doors, it protects whenever we are not at home. Also, they add a little more decorative appeal to the vehicle. For the price, this is a good buy. Just measure the length of the area you a covering and determine the amount you would need to complete your project. Some vehicles may need more.
