I have never had a good way to store or display shells until I found these display cases. I used to just keep the shells in a baggie or a bowl, but at that point people were only able to see the shells that were on the top. I have a couple smaller shell display cases like this one, but this is the first one that I have gotten that holds multiple shell sizes in one case. I love the versatility of this case allowing for multiple sizes to be displayed. The case itself is well made and it is clear (once you remove the protective film on both sides) so you can easily see the shells displayed. The magnets hold the sides securely so you don't have to worry about it coming apart. I personally prefer the ones that have only one side of the case that opens since it adds a little more security, but this one holds tightly so it is still good. This is the first case like this that I have gotten that comes with the stand, so you can easily put it on a shelf or anywhere you want. That is a very nice touch to include.

Bought these to use in my classroom in Coastal Georgia (US) and am so disappointed. You can't see through the "glass" - it's opaque so you can see something is in there but no detail. The magnets that hold the front and back on are so weak, they come off very easily. The compartments are so thin, you can't fit most any shells you find on the Georgia or Florida coast, though I did fit shark teeth.Absolutely returning these. Horrible purchase.

I am numbers challenged, and didn't even pay attention to the size listed. I saw the photo and thought those shells were larger than they are. That's my bad. I had hoped to use it for my daughters rock collection but it is instead being used for her coin collection so I'm still happy with it. I don't like how easily the magnets come apart. I had to make sure it wasn't on a surface that was likely to be bumped. Which is tricky with a kid. When it is bumped and falls over the magnets come apart. Cute display though.
