Pro: fixed to my Brother 3550 with the screws that came with my machineCons: didn’t fold the binding at all (therefore useless)Arrived with rustI could ignore the tarnished, poor quality appearance of the binder, both for the price and if it worked, but this binder arrived with rust on/in it. I did test it out though because I could ask for a replacement if it worked…it didn’t. The package was resealed so someone else had likely returned for the same reason!I tried several pieces of scrap, and knit stay tape, to see if I could get it to work but the binding just would come out of the left side folded nor could I make it. Over an hour of time wasted. Sending it back.

The description on this item is not clear. The item itself is difficult to use, brings no screws and is actually hard to pass through the attachment . It only folds in top and not underneath. Is not a good product

Since I wanted to try using this with my overstitch machine I already knew it wouldn’t fit. Not a problem. The problem I had was that like others have stated it literally comes just a metal piece in a bag no instructions, pictures, website to look at for reference. Nada. Also mine came with a missing screw so I wasn’t able to attach the piece that needs to feed the fabric through and of course since it’s such a small screw I had to buy one that doesn’t really fit but does the job. I haven’t used the item yet but having to buy extra screws wasn’t cool. Hopefully this works. Good luck

At first I was disappointed because it did not fit my coverstitch machine (Juki MCS-1500); but I happened to stumble over a post in a sewing group of a similar item and saw that it needs a universal mounting plate in addition to the binder to fit correctly. So I have resorted to scotch taping it to my machine when I need it until I can find a coordinating mounting plate for it. Otherwise it creates beautiful binding!

I had put in the search when looking for this & this is what came up. Well it ids for a different machine all together. I have seen people with the older machines using. But as I said I looked for My Singer and can not use. No instructions at all places for to mount but am sure wont go on mine. I had seen it on line & looked like it was a regular attachment. looks can be deceiving, I was really wanting to have that part of my sewing a little easier. Thanks anyway Deb

FOLLOW UPAfter actually using this binder I have to say, especially for the price and how cheap it even looks, I’m fairly impressed. I have used it on several garments now and I attached the binding shown in the photo using this. It takes some finagling to get it in the best position and I still wish it had come with instructions or attachments of some type but like I already said, for the price I can only complain but so much.ORIGINAL REVIEWNo instructions, no attachment parts, literally just the part in a bag. Welds look messy, and I wasn’t sure if it would even work because of how cheap it is and looks. That being said, I know it’s intended for a coverstitch but I was able to rig it up with gorilla tape and test it out with my regular sewing machine and it seems like it will work decently. Not double fold on both sides, which leaves a raw edge on the bottom but may be nice to reduce bulk. I’m excited to at least play around with it and see if it actually functions well.

This binder works well on my home coverstitch machine - No, it does not screw on... I just taped it in place. And it didn't come with any screws. I give this four stars because the description was not clear about whether the top and bottom are both turned in to create a clean finish on top and bottom. This binder attachment folds the fabric to create a clean finish on top and a raw edge on bottom. So, the binding material is folded twice on top and once on bottom.
