I wanted this FILN 20A Rocker Switch to replace the cheap looking plastic rocker switch currently in my car, but the footprint is much smaller than a standard rocker switch. The existing hole is much too large. I'm also assuming the pin out is the same standard as other switches on the market, but this came with zero instructions, specifications or written dimensions. I really like the look and I'm sure I'll find a place for it soon. It really does have a high end finish to it. I can't say I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll have to get some use out of it first.

Toggle switch works just fine but the led is nothing like the listing pictures. I tried with both 12V and 24V. It's disappointingly dim and you cannot really even tell it's on when in much light at all. I attached 3 pictures: led off, led on in low light, and led on in normal indoor lighting. The one that has the little oval on the top side is the normal lighting and on condition. You can kind of tell it's lit but it's so so so dim. I was going to use this on a project I've started on but I'll probably shelf it for some future use where I don't care about the led and leave it ungrounded like it isn't even there.I even ripped the whole switch apart seeing if I could directly wire the led to make sure it wasn't just a bad connection inside the switching mechanism. It seems the led is sealed up inside the switch face so I couldn't get to the led itself but eventually found a little pcb and even wiring directly to the points on that, just as dim.

The listing says this switch is suitable for cars, trucks, RVs, etc. which implies it being used on a 12 volt DC circuit. The LED however, requires 120 volts AC. The switch has a nice look and feel, but is more appropriate for AC appliances than motor vehicles.

This is a well constructed switch and the layout of the pins is standard so I was able to find instructions on how to correctly wire it up without difficulty. The LED on my switch is reasonably bright, but based on other reviews that might just be lucky on my part. In any case, I'm happy with it.

This switch has a distinctive retro-futuristic form factor that I haven't seen on other rocker switches. The switching mechanism functions as it should, quickly snapping into one position or the other with no springiness in between. The product listing says 110-220V in some places and 12V in other places. The switch I received says 30A 125/250VAC. The switch works like any other switch with a 12VDC load, except then the LED is extremely dim, and I'm really not sure if this harms the LED circuit. But this is a nice switch for AC projects connected to mains electricity.
