I received this product through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.These furniture slides are pretty slick (in a good way). They're on the smaller side, so they fit under the feet of items like bookshelves or beds. The lip is low, which means they slide under the foot easily. I took off one star because they slid out from under my items several times, and I had to put them back on--I'd say that, the heavier the item, the more likely they are to stay in place. They did a great job of protecting my new floors.

I have other (round) caster cups, and these are very much like them - metal top for holding the furniture, fuzzy bottom to protect the floor. These aren’t quite as sturdy as the others; if I try, I can bend these a little - not so the others. I think they should work to protect the floor, they just may bend a little bit while they do it.For better or worse (depending on your needs/expectations), don’t expect that the soft fabric bottom will enable you to slide the furniture around - that didn’t work well for me when I tried it. That could be a good thing, depending on what type of furniture you’re using it for. It does mean I’ll be using small furniture sliders to protect the floor with pieces that I may want to move around periodically, like the living room end tables.I really appreciate that these come in a box that I can continue to use for storage - I don’t expect to use all of them at once, and I’d rather not have them rattling around loose.In short, these are good basic floor protectors.

Metal dishes with square indentation in the center, and a rolled edge on the top side help hold the furniture leg in place. This metal is a bit thin so it could deform if you put something really pointy on it, but it will still be better than directly on the floor. The bottom has a carpeted type layer to protect floors and allow you to slide things more easily. Be aware that if your floor has anything gritty, even a few grains of sand, nothing will protect it from scratches because dragging something soft will pick up the grit and scratch it along the floor. So just do a quick vacuum or sweep before you scoot the couch across your new hardwoord floors. But these are nice for moving furniture or protecting the floor from damage by scraping sharp legs or metal. The 12 pack will do more than one chair so you have some options. They also work as coasters in a pinch, because they are just about the right size for cups or glasses!

I used the 2 1/2" Square Carpet Bottom Furniture Caster Cups for a bed on a hardwood floor, and they are perfect for moving furniture without damaging the floor. These casters replaced rubber ones, which didn't allow the bed to move without leaving marks on the floor. The casters are lighter than the rubber ones, and they make moving the bed much smoother.The only caveat to using this type of caster is to pay attention to sizing. These casters fit the corner and outer legs of the bed perfectly, but they are too large for the middle legs. When buying casters, it’s important to select the right size for all the legs, especially when using an aluminum base, as the size difference can be less of an issue with rubber. I haven't had any issues with the casters slipping off, thanks to the lip that keeps them in place. Overall, they work great, but make sure to get the right size for your furniture to ensure a perfect fit if moving furniture is frequent.

We just put down some new flooring and these are just what we needed for the pieces of furniture we will frequently move (slide) around to clean or make the bed etc. Quick delivery, sturdy and well made, even the heavier pieces move easily.

The metal on these furniture casters is thin and flimsy and it looks like it would easily bend or break. Because my sofa and recliners are heavy, I didn’t think they would provide any ease of moving my furniture across the floor so I returned them.

I haven't used these furniture "coasters" yet. However they look like they will do the job nicely. Delivered in timely fashion. Could not find these in Home depot or Walmart but Amazon had them.
