The 2 main things are the price and it worked, the controller that came with the chair never lasted and I was always repairing it the it and the replacement cost was $60.00 more and not all of the units I purchased that looked like mine didn't always worked and had to. E returned, but this baby is outstanding..

There are other product for about 1/3 of the price of this particular product.Mine is used on my bed. I do like the lit buttons.It makes it easier to find it when fumbling in the dark. It has a USB port on the end that might would come in handy to charge your phone IF it ever would keep working.My original controller went out at about 6 months old. I bought an exact replacement. The USB stopped working almost immediately. The control stopped working at about 3 months old.So I bought a 3rd. Again, the USB stopped a couple of weeks into it. I’ve been extremely careful to not let this one fall to the floor or nightstand. I’m not sure what causes the malfunction. I’ve opened both broken controls and have found a short circuit control board.They include in the box a short extension wire to lengthen the original control. That’s very handy.If this one stops working I’m going to just downgrade to a simple up/down option without being the exact design/shape and without the USB & lights. These are rather pricey and you can purchase a simpler version for less than $15.

This control is easy to install, our reclining Chair had one control fail some time ago and I replaced it with one of these controls, so when the second one fail I had another one of these controls shipped to our house in France. I could not find availability of this remote control in Europe?

Was used for a replacement remote control for a recliner. Is a perfect fit and enables me to continue using my recliner. Difficult to screw in for someone with arthritic fingers. Easy installation otherwise.
