Love this hat and gloves. I live in the country and I don't have any bees, this hat with the netting and gloves is great for weedeating. It keeps the grass and stuff from hitting me in the face and keeps the pesky flies and mosquitoes from dive bombing me, the long gloves work better than a long sleeve shirt and gloves.

When the gloves ripped, I was gonna return both. But I sewed the rip up & I’m happy with both items. The gloves are very soft goatskin and fit perfectly. Hat is adequate for the job intended.

I really like the brim of the hat and ease in using but bees kept getting inside my hood by the second hive inspection. We kept adjusting it to make sure there weren’t any places they could get in but they kept finding ways. I’m not a fan of angry bees stuck within inches of my face. Face stings aren’t fun either. I have more than usual aggressive hives too this year so I’m going back to a full body suit. Gloves worked great!

I wasn't sure what I was going to get for $25, but upon arrival, I was very impressed with the quality of hat/veil and the gloves. The hat and veil are very well made, and with the heavy straw hat, thick elastic neck band and the under-arm straps you can be confident that you will not get stung. (I have another veil that the bees can sting through especially when the fabric is wet with sweat.) Upon receipt of the gloves and veil, I went into my apiary for four hours harvesting honey on a 90+ F day. Predictably the bees were not too happy and a bit agressive, ocassionally stinging through my jeans, but no stings above my neck or in my hands. There were a lot of stingers left in my gloves, but none got through the labskin. The gloves are of good quality as well. The gloves are marked "Large" and will fit a large hand like mine, but with no room to spare, which is OK because the tight fit offers more dexterity. If you normally wear an extra-large glove (as I do), it is possible that these gloves could be too small for you. If you normally wear a medium glove, these gloves will probably not be too large for you.

I like it . Maybe down the road i will have to do a little sewing of the veil to the hat if it loosens, or a little repair on the strap if it loosens. The Sunflower 2 in 1 Beekeeper Beekeeping Protection hat and Veil with Gloves looks well made to me. I will probably wrap a scarf around my neck also to keep bees from getting underneath the veil. I am happy with my purchase .
