Spring isn't as substantial as I expected. Also slips on Olympic size bar, but will hold if installed with releases pointing inward.

These collars work great on a standard 2-inch Olympic barbell. They are easier to use than other collars I have used. I recommend them, and would buy them again.

I’ve never felt the need to write an Amazon review before until now. These clips do not fit on a 2” bar they are too big. The very first time I used them on my loadable dumbbells I only put 15lbs on to test and when I leaned back to bench the clips slid right off and all the plates dumped to the floor. It almost crushed my face. Amazon should remove this product it is very dangerous.
