I’ve got tiny ball bearings all over my house due to other crappy wheels. These are a straight post into a solid base. No bearings. They turn much easier and I’m sure these will last much longer.

This is not my first set of inline skate wheels for chairs in my office. I converted all of the chairs a long time ago.This is my first set of double inline skate wheels though. The difference: the chair still rolls easily on hard floors, but is not so "squirrely". I can't push off and roll across the room (do I need to?) It's smart that there is a plastic guard over the wheels too. At 2" they are kind of small, but my chair has a base as wide as the chair, so not a problem.I think these are a win.

They roll well but not like inline skate wheels where you spin them and they just keep on going. I replaced the ones on my chair with these because I had the inline-skate style single-wheel casters. They had brakes and I was always running my feet into the sharp edges of the brake levers. So I thought these would be a nice upgrade. Well they are ok. But I think that is because I am on carpet. The wheels themselves are smaller than my last ones. I would guess that they are exactly the same diameter as the original "standard" double-wheel casters that come with most desk chairs. So they actually don't roll around on the carpet quite as well. If I had a hard surface I am sure this would be no problem. They do seem solidly made. And they look nice. Just wish they were a little bigger.
