I covered the exhaust head pipe on two different 4-stroke dirt bikes because the factory heat shields had been damaged. This was easy enough to put on after removing the pipes and looks good when finished.

A fairly thick and useful tape to keep heat radiating from very hot surfaces such as exhaust pipes on a motorcycle and wraps fairly tightly. Since this type of tape is not going to have an adhesive backing, as such a backing would melt under the kind of temperature for which it is being used. The tape instead uses ties that are made of light metal to hold the ends down on the wrap. My only comment would be that as the tape is black it would be nice if the metal ties were a darker color than silver.
