These are great and just as they are advertised. They are easy to adjust and hold the rod steadily. No issues with trolling while the rods are in the rod holders. Scotty style mounts are interchangeable.

We often fish at a reservoir where the bank is rock or where its very difficult to get a pole holder in the ground. I've attached these to an 10"x2" about 15" long and I think it's going to work great. No more flying poles or pole holders falling over.
