I love that the angle can be changed to accommodate where these can be placed in the cage. Each “step” is a different sized branch so their feet get exercised. They’re very sturdy and the natural wood is beautiful. The boys love them and they’ve been a “go to” place for them.

Better quality wood than others I’ve ordered. The wood was bumpy like the picture, and very clean. The perches arrived unassembled, and need to be screwed together (the base piece of wood has an inset nut, and each perch has a bolt solidly stuck in it). The inset nuts are not drilled perfectly straight (must have been done by hand), so the perches lean up and down a bit randomly, but it’s ladder-like enough and the birds don’t mind. The birds (budgies and a parrotlet) took to them immediately, and I often see them hanging out on them. From my understand, perches with varied textures and widths are very important for the health of their feet. It may be another reason they like them so much.

This was great right out of the package - the drill holes and connector screws were all lined up well. I appreciated that it connects to the cage with two separate sets of wingnuts and double washers - very secure. No problems installing. Our bird didn't shy away from it at all, which is a complement for anything new I add to his cage. This appears heavy duty enough that it can withstand some curious bird chewing. So far, so good!

I got this product for our conure and he really likes it. The perch is pretty lightweight for its size. We will be using it most likely for the interior of his cage. Our conure is very picky about toys, so it certainly says something that he took to it so quickly!

ITEM: IBWell 2 Pack Bird Ladder (Wood)COMMENTS: I am using these for a cockatiel.PROS:- The hardware and construction was solid. No loose pieces and screwed together tightly.- All of the perches were of very similar size and shape, with only minor variations.NEUTRALS:- If the company included washers and wingnuts compatible for each step it would offer a lot more variety to the purchaser. This obviously wasn’t counted against it, just a suggestion to them to potentially increase their customer base.- The steps were just a little bit too large for my cockatiel to comfortably step between them with the gaps. Again, not a con, but might be better for a bird that is a bit larger.CONS:- The wood did have some flaking issues; I had about four thumbnail-sized pieces come off as I installed the branches and put it on his cage. Any bird would be able to pry more off.GIFTABILITY: (All of my packages are sent with Prime Delivery Day and manufacturer’s packaging preference selected. This may impact how things are shipped and cause my packaging experience to differ from yours.) The set came in a clear plastic bag wrapped with packing tape and the pieces separated. The presentation was overall fairly simple/poor, so I would recommend either receiving and re-wrapping or gift wrapping them.WOULD I PURCHASE? (Any prices noted are as of the time of writing): Maybe. I’m using this for exterior cage perching/play, so I’m waiting to see how well my bird takes to them. They do seem a bit large for his preference, but the product itself is good. At $19.98 for a 2-pack they’re fairly priced compared to other options on the market. My rating system is: 5 = no/minimal complaints, very pleased 4 = minor complaints, overall satisfied, but could be better 3 = notable complaints, overall average to ‘meh’ 2 = significant complaints, unhappy and will not keep/use 1 = entirely complaints, misleading descriptions, straight to the trash product.

While I got these to provide an easy way up my bird's large cage upgrade, they're also a source of destruction activity. They come natural with bark still attached, and my bird has been focused on tearing every piece of bark off and tossing it into her water bowl. They were easy to put together and into the cage, and my bird obviously loves them.

This ladder came "some assembly required" but was easy to put together. It is as large as the pictures and description suggest. My parakeets took to it surprisingly quickly (especially one of them, who has enjoyed it the most), and it gives them a solid place to stand and a variation in perch size, which is healthy for their feet. The price is fair as a natural wood perch goes. The "steps" aren't all perfectly straight when installed, but they're straight enough. I recommend.
