Ok, first of all, no labeling saying what these are for anywhere on the cushion, ie, throw-able device uscg etc. Second of all, thin and very lightweight. Yes these provide some flotation, yes these are seat cushions, yes they look like normal throwables, but in reality they aren't. Would I purchase them as a safety device? No. Would I purchase them for use as a stadium cushion or boat cushion? Yes. Are they very expensive for what you get? Yes. I will keep these and use them as cushions for my lawn chairs and such.
