These jacks are heavy duty and worked great for lifting up our couch. They're made from quality metals and held our couch up with ease.

I got these thinking they would help me ove my appliances around easily. I guess they work ok. I was just expecting more control and stability from them. Because of this I can’t recommend them

I have 2 Kobalt lifting jacks that are rated at 300# and the vertical lifting bar is 3x as thick. I tried this with my first cabinet (42#), and it the jack neither stayed where I put it or stopped it from self-lowering. They went back the same day.

I have another set of virtually identical lifting jacks that I have found to be a convenience when working on various DIY projects. This pair made by “Zemiro” appears to be of the same build quality and identical functionality, with the main difference between them being the overall length – the other set I own are 15-inches, while these Zemiro models are 12-inches. Aside from that, the functionality is the same – the squeeze levers lift items with relatively little effort, and there is a “slow” and “fast” lowering function to lower items down.I have a few things to point out here. The lowering function is pretty typical for this style/design, and you will see plenty of similar lifting jacks on the market. Just be advise that under load, if you press the “fast” lowering lever, whatever you have on the lifting jack will come crashing down instantaneously. My advice is to use that “fast” lever with caution, and when under a load, instead opt for the “slow” lever to incrementally and in a controlled fashion, lower the object. I would also advise just a bit of practice before actually using the jacks to become accustomed with their operation and behavior before you put them to work lifting anything important or valuable. Compared to my other lifting jacks, I would say that these operate identically, but perhaps are slightly less refined on the “slow” lowering operation. It’s not enough for me to have a negative opinion as a result, they simply lower just a little less smoothly than my other pair. The build quality I feel is excellent and is on par with my other set. While the operation is self-explanatory, the included directions are horrendous in that I have never seen such small print on a piece of paper. Be prepared to bust-out the magnifying glass to be able to read them, lol!My bottom line here is that I do think these are made well, and they are handy to have around. They don’t come with any additional items like rubber pads for the bases and lifting arms, and they don’t include any attachments to use them as improvised clamps either. As far as the clamp aspect is concerned, that’s not a deal-breaker for me at all, and as far as not including rubber pads, that can be addressed easy enough, if necessary, but frankly, I don’t use them anyway. At the current price of about 33 bucks, I think these are good for a solid four-stars.

When you have a job that just needs the right tool to get the job done, sometimes the right tool is just the right tool, even if it doesn't result in the best experience. These portable lifting jacks allow a single person to get parts into the right position and hold them there as you finish building or finish securing the project. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to hold a level while struggling to hold furniture in place, put the level down, pick up a drill, and then shift everything while you're trying to get a screw tapped in. That said, these make an otherwise hard job totally possible. Are they the best built, most ergonomic, most sleek design? No, these are a mix of somewhat uncomfortable to adjust, have their own points of additional work to get setup well, and seem like someone didn't really sit down and think through all the little nice to haves. At the same time, not having them probably means making it look like you installed them instead of a professional, which you know probably bothers you considering you're here reading this review. I don't use these often, but when I do, I'm just thankful I have the tool that gets it done instead of improvising and being frustrated with the end result.

These lifting jacks are an unbelievably handy tool for appliance and cabinet installation. I used these to install cabinets in my workshop and the jacks made it incredibly easy to level and mount my new cabinets. The weight capacity was more than enough for 6-foot-long custom hardwood cabinets (my workshop is a woodshop). The feet are secure and offer a substantial base to work from. The trigger is easy to work one-handed and has two speed settings to make large or precise adjustments.
