These silicone feeding mats arrived as described 🐠🐟. They are so cute! I can't wait to use these for our pup.

These cute slow feeders came up as a suggestion for me. They looked similar to lick mats I purchased for my dogs for inclement weather where they can't get their walks, so I thought I'd give them a try. At first I was worried about the red eye, that it might be a choke hazard, but they are very well secured. Obviously, you should never leave anything alone with your pet if you know they are prone to swallowing something, but it should hold up well to the curious poke and multiple licks while feeding. These can be used for cats and small dogs as a slow feeder. I put in dog safe peanut butter and light plain or vanilla yogurt (always make sure when giving people food to your pets it doesn't contain chemicals or additives which don't harm us, but are toxic to them) and freeze them to make a long lasting lick treat. In the included picture, I'm using them to distract my Golden who had ACL surgery and while she is almost healed, suddenly had an urge to lick the area of her stitches. These were a great distraction so I didn't have to put the donut back on her. Cleans up easily in the dishwasher. The only difference between these and the dog "official" lick mats is there is more space between the grooves and there are no suction cups on the back if you want to stick them to a wall. This makes sense since these are used as slow feeders rather than lick matts, but they can be used for both purposes.

A little big for a cat, they have some pretty small tongues so I'm not sure the pockets being as big as they are is really gonna slow them down too much. But they're cute, nothing noticeably bad about them, so they're fine.

I don't know if this slows my cats down all that much with dry food, but they are cute trays and are as described. Due to their flat design, they do allow me to leave less food out without the cats complaining about their bowls seeming empty. They do seem more effective with wet food in slowing the cats down, which has helped reduce the amount of food coming back up -- which is definitely a plus!

These are more what I would call "moderating feeders" and they seem to be working. It's a delicate balance with an overweight cat--being overweight, itself, is a stress on her little round body, but restricting her food can leave her stressed about whether she can count on being fed when she is hungry.Sprinkling kibble among the fish scales seems to slow down her feeding some, and she doesn't seem to be frantic when she signals that it is time for her to eat. The little fish scales do seem to encourage a more leisurely meal, without making her solve a puzzle, or hurting her mouth. And slowing her down a bit, without making mealtime a struggle, seems to leave her more satisfied, and less likely to think she needs another meal as quickly. Score!I like the colors a lot, and that the fish can be hand washed OR thrown in the dishwasher. The size is fine for the measured amount of kibble for a meal. I like that there are two dishes in one order--her "former kitten" insisted on eating from a "fancy" new dish, too, and Momcat doesn't share well (besides making it impossible to measure how much the dieting cat is getting.) And the price is reasonable, for two, so this is an all around good value I can recommend.

These fish feeders are the perfect size for cats. They are sort of like a cross between a lick mat and a slow feeder. The scales on the fish are a little deeper than most lick mats I've seen, but not quite as deep as most slow feeder bowls. We use it at our cat rescue to spread wet food out to slow down some of our cats who have a tendency to eat too fast and vomit afterward, and they work very well for that. The scales are also deep enough to slow them down with kibble a bit. They are well-made, reasonably easy to clean, and a good value for the cost.

Safe to use on the bottom rack, high heat, in dish washer. Really nice quality. Perfect for the feline who eats like he doesn’t know if he’ll ever be fed again…even though we have them on a set schedule and have had him over a year.
