While the price was good, the product is on the cheap side. The base and stem are all plastic and the only metal part are the threads that screw into the camera. I hope the product holds up to the weather as I'd hate to lose an expensive camera due to a cheap base.

This is mostly made of thin plastic and the screw mount for the outside camera was too large and interfered when attaching the screw bolt to the camera. The plastic knob had to be filed flat on the side that hit the camera in order to work. In other words when attempting to thread the screw into the camera it contacted a protrusion on the camera before getting tight. I cannot recommend this for the white outdoor camera.

A bit frustrating that SimpliSafe cameras don’t ship with the “permanent mount” opted to buy this 2 pack instead of $15 for each.It worked great. It’s compatible with the indoor camera as well :)One note for people using the SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera 2 - the additional piece at the bottom will not allow you to comfortably screen it into the mount without rubbing/getting stuck. Just something to keep in mind.
