Great to have, will save you thousands over the cost of a fall. Take it from miss graceful here who thought I wouldn't fall on the ice. After a broken arm and surgery, I keep a set in my purse and in my car. These work well.

Leider für Gr. 41 zu klein bzw. Spikesohle zu kurz. Dennoch rutschfest.

Before going on my trip to Sweden last year, I saw a video of people walking around Stockholm busting their butt slipping and falling on ice. It scared me, because falling like that is a great fear of mine. My balance already sucks, and I'm not nearly as agile as I was in the past. So, I decided to purchase these strap on shoe spikes to take with me. I had no idea if I would need them or not, but I would rather be safe than sorry. As luck would have it, the weather overall wasn't bad, and they had gravel down on the roads and sidewalks, so I didn't need them.Yesterday, I finally opened the package since my town was hit by all forms of freezing precipitation. My deck, while coated in a layer of snow above the ice, has kept me indoors in the past when coated in ice. The thought of trying to traverse it just too much. Add to that, I'm pet sitting my neighbors pets. I knew I had to get out of the house to take care of their pets, but their driveway has quite an incline.Let me say, I love these spikes. I have not slipped one single time.My advice to you...even if you won't hardly use them, they're $12 for 2 sets. Get them! Put them with your "winter weather" supplies. That way, you'll have them when needed.

Fit well but on wearing them two of the studs came off the bottom on both shoes so only one of the three studs left on the bottom which is disappointing

Used these for hike on icey and muddy trail. They worked really well on women’s size 5 shoe and equivalent. They worked for short distances on larger shoes but were a little harder to get on properly. Also they kept falling off larger shoes if you don’t walk just right. Preferred to others that only have cleats on one part of foot (much better quality than those) and spiral style crampons (because they lay flat for travel and storage).
