Head must be set onto handle by force. Put head in vise and hammer down handle. Ok for light garden use. Weak steel for prospecting or geological use.

Handle is thin and slim as well as the head/blade. Does not look like the ad. Head piece keeps sliding down the handle.

The handle doesn't set into the head as far as I would like. But for the price they are more than adequate

This is an obvious casting. I had to regrind the flat edge as they didn't even get close. I used the pick end for the first time and it snapped off with the first small rock that I found, just missed the return window. These are NOT forged but an obvious casting that will break on you. OK if you only scratch around in soft dirt. Don't expect it to look like the one in the picture, it will be a lot rougher looking.
