These work great. For a quick test, I used these on my splitting maul that I hadn't cleaned since the last cord of wood. See the before and after photos I included. In a minute or two, this wheel got the maul nice and shiny. It doesn't appear to leave any scratches or remove much material (there were a couple of sparks now and again, but very minimal) and the wheel still looks about brand new after use. Two wheels were included, so they should last me a long time. Do be aware that this is meant for a 20mm shaft, which is a smidge over 3/4". I used a collar/adapter to increase my shaft diameter from 1/2" to 3/4" and had no issues. The hole on the wheel is slightly oversized, but I didn't notice meaningful vibrations while it was running, so it must be centered enough to work fine.

First off, be aware that the bore on this wheel is twenty millimeters. So you're going to need a bushing most likely for your grinder to get it to work properly. The material is a mildly abrasive foam almost, almost like a scouring pad for the kitchen. Being 320 grit, it's not really going to strip anything but it will put a nice burnished finish on metal. I haven't used this on wood and I really don't think that it's the best use for it. I've also used it for removing surface rust on tools that have been sitting at the garage for a little while because it won't damage the tool, all you need to do is give it a quick swipe and then wipe it down with some oil. They're useful wheels to keep on hand and I'm finding more and more uses for them.
