My old farm truck is almost due for state inspection, so I picked these up to fix my license plate lights. It’s a small project that yields big satisfaction. You can see in the pictures that the original 25 year-old sockets were melted, corroded and broken. The replacements were easy to install, and had the right connectors and wire length. I also took the opportunity to clean the original lenses, which had years of crud inside and out. The difference is truly night and day! The only minor issue I encountered was that the sockets were so tight I could barely get the bulbs installed. Little bits of glass broke off the lamp base and I really thought the bulbs were going to break in my fingers when I was pushing them in. Fortunately they didn’t, but I had to dock them one star.
