I am reviewing the product "2 Pcs Furnace Interlock Door Switch Compatible with Goodman 0130M00243 250VAC, Replacement for Amana B1370818 Fireplace Parts, Compatible with Various Fireplace Door Switches and Ovens" on 25 May, 2025.I ordered this switch for a purpose unrelated to its stated application, specifically, as part of a home automation setup where I needed a mechanical means of detecting whether or not a metallic gate is open. Traditional magnetic reed or "hall effect" door sensors commonly used in home automation often get confused when attached to a metal door or gate, distorting the magnetic field and resulting in false readings. So instead, I paired this mechanical interlock switch with a Zigbee door sensor that supports dry contact inputs (a somewhat uncommon but very handy feature), and, with some precise mounting and a bit of patience, the switch now cleanly tracks the door's state, and every open and close is reported without fail. The switch appears to be of good quality, made from heat-resistant thermoplastic, it has rugged terminals and emits a satisfying tactile "snap" from the internal spring action. Although it’s marketed as a replacement for Goodman 0130M00243 and Amana B1370818 models—both commonly used in HVAC systems—this thing is clearly built to endure repeated use in all kinds of conditions. While I cannot comment specifically about its performance inside a 400 degree furnace cabinet, I can say that in my outdoor home automation setup, where it is exposed to cool evenings and foggy mornings, it has performed very reliably. I can say that it looks durable, and seems entirely capable of delivering reliable service for many years to come
