Thought I'd take a chance on these for my Nissan 9.8 outboard.Due to some fuel issues (and maybe owner/operator neglect issues?), I had to tear down the fuelsystem on my outboard, clean it all out from fuel tank to carburetor.I took a good look at these filters once they came in and decided they looked like they should work.I'm only on the first one... hopefully for a long while... and as the boating season gets in full-swing, I'll know more about how well these work.But... so far so good!

Appears slightly smaller than the OEM part on my Mercury 5 hp four stroke.Received part. Have not yet installed. No reason to believe it won’t work as long as fuel flow rate is the same, but I was surprised to find it wasn’t identical.

I replaced the old factory filter with this one. After maybe 4 hours of idling and slow speeds, my outboard had trouble starting again and finally wouldn’t start. Fortunately I wasn’t too far out and I had a kicker motor so I can get back to the launch. It turned out that the filter cap had come loose and was leaking gas. I’ll go with OEM parts next time.

bought a fac- simily , which was a 1/4" too long and it cramped the gas line and made it impossible to start my engine, this is the correct one

Looked exactly like original filter. Worked well after install. Get two for less than one OEM filter.

Description is incorrect. The inlet and outlet barbs on this filter are different diameters and output side is too small.
