Works well with uv light and a little heat added.

I received the product and it looked exactly like the picture… But what I didn’t realize was the syringe doesn’t have any plunger. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to go inside some sort of gun that I didn’t have but you can make it work by just taking a stick or something else and pushing it out from the rear like that. It’s inconvenient but it works.Just something you would want to know. The next thing you want to know is it’s significantly darker green then your standard solder mask on a lot of circuit boards. Picture this as a bold rich dark almost blackish green.I purchased a 36 white UV light also off Amazon for the purpose of curing this and even after five minutes under the lamp it really had not solidified. I had to take my hot air station and put approximately 200° hot air to it for about 90 seconds to get it to go ahead and harden up. So that’s also kind of disappointing as I had thought the UV would harden it up pretty quickly without any stickiness. I’ll probably practice some more on another circuit board I don’t care about but I needed to get this repair done and back in service. It’s not pretty and maybe it’s possible to do a better job after some practice but I’m betting they’re higher quality products out there.I marked it three stars because it will get the job done, and it did get the job done. It may be that this has been on the shelf a while and that’s why it didn’t harden up like it’s supposed to. I didn’t check for a date but now that I’m thinking about it I will. It looked brand new and did not appear that it had been sitting around but I’ll look further. It did come packaged in a light proof container and you want to keep it that way so that it doesn’t ruin.

This solder mask is sold under various brand names, but it’s all the same stuff. The version I bought is branded Kaisi, and no plunger was included either. However, unless you intend to use this like thermal paste, the absence of a plunger is not a problem. Stick a pen down the tube to squeeze a tiny amount out onto a piece of paper, and then use a toothpick, or similar, to apply to the board.I had just done a trace repair, so the minuscule drop on the end of the toothpick was sufficient to cover the repaired trace. I put quite a thick layer on and then cured it with a USB powered UV light for about 3 minutes. It cured to a hard finish.Great stuff. Would buy again.

Came with two tubes of board varnish, and the consistency and color is excellent. The problem? They're in tubes with no plungers. Luckily I had a plunger from my flux tube that worked fine but it's kind of annoying. Excellent product, though, and I particularly appreciated how quickly it cured under a UV flashlight.

I was new to this so I have a couple of tips about this product. The most important thing to know about this product for first time users is that it is anaerobic cure. It will not cure in air. This has to be thinly applied between plastic and fresh circuit board. It will not work as a coating afterward. When you do your board the board should be larger than your print. Coat should be very thin. It's extremely messy on edges otherwise and you can't tell when it's cured enough. It's never cured if air is present. AND The edges aren't sealed.Cure to 50% wipe uncured material and then finish curing. This material gets very hard and can be applied over itself. Acetone clean up. Use acetone sparingly when cleaning the uncured material because it gets under the cured parts during clean off.Cure time varies with light source. I have what I call a parking lot light and it takes about a 50/60 seconds to partial cure and another minute to full cure. On small things I use my tactical flashlight (daylight led) and it takes about 2 minutes to partial sitting right on top of the board. The black light LED flashlight didn't seem to work at all.If using an inkjet and film you HAVE to use the non printed side facing the board. It's better to print twice and double up the negative. This is the messiest product I have ever used and I do coatings of every sort for a living. Use gloves and and appropriate safety gear. I couldn't find SDS on this product. This is nowhere close to being as easy as the videos show and is infuriating to use. Once you get a handle on it it's much better. Timing the cure is the trick and be gentle in the middle. This can be sanded and buffed if needed to patch and is moderately hard once cured.B

Okay, so the product is in a syringe, but doesn't come with any plunger so you get to MacGyver something yourself for dispensing the fluid. In my opinion, that makes for an incomplete product - sort've like buying a paintbrush without the bristles (Oh, you want bristles? That's extra.). I don't even see the plungers shown as a related product. Lame.

Product works fine, would be easier to use if a plunger and nozzle or two were included!
