Used this to remove solder on a circuit board. Works great if you put a dab of flux on it.

Flux on a braid is soooo much better.No more worrying if you are going to melt the board before the solder wick soaks up the solder, it's quick.Brilliant, really.Another reviewer noted that the Flux is dirty, but it's not bad. All Flux is something to clean up, but I've used "no clean" flux that was dirtier than this. Still, you save a step on fluxing - you would have had to clean anyway if using flux.I wish I had this years ago. I will be sad (and order more) when I run out.

I've tried buying a few different brands/types of desoldering braid as a newbie in the last several years, but I always had to add a ton of flux for them to do anything at all. This was completely different; it seemed like it was properly soaked in flux, and soaked up solder almost as well as the stuff used by the pros in the YouTube videos I've watched. The only drawback is that it also sheds quite a bit of white powder; my soldering mat caught most of it, but I still felt like I needed to use damp paper towels to clean my working area to be safe afterward.

The solder wick is effective. Before the heated solder is dragged up the braid, the powdered flux that comes with it melts and fluxes the braid, aiding in the wicking process. I have not needed to add extra flux anywhere I have used this wick thus far. I did give it a shot to see if it would help, but desoldering did not get any better. The braid itself functions as one may anticipate. Because it's thin and flexible, it fits most people.

This solder wick works well. It comes with a powdered flux in the braid, which helps the wicking action by melting and fluxing the braid just before the heated solder is drawn up the braid. So far, everywhere I have used this wick I haven't needed to add any additional flux. I did try it just to see if it would make a difference, but I saw no improvement in desoldering. The braid itself works as you would expect. It's fine and flexible, so it fits most everywhere.

Worked well sucking up some solder on a few connections in an old Heathkit linear amp. Flux was kind of powdery and left some residue behind on the parts.

Works just the way solder wick should. Heats nicely and solder wicks well to it even without flux. Seems to work equally well with Tin/lead and lead free solder. Nice width and thickness to get into tight areas. Very happy with results.
