Easy to install, lots of bubbles, cleared the gallon tank in less then an hour. I've rinsed the filter twice. Its a little difficult to open but if you use a towel to dry it first it makes opening it easier. Nice and quiet too.

I was extremely upset when I installed this filter into my 14 gallon beta tank. I ran a bucket of water and dropped it in shaking it vigorously because I noticed the rock in the filter contained a lot of sand/dust. Thinking it was fine I placed it into my tank. The water in the tank was YELLOW for 4 days. It eventually settled, but my fish seem lethargic. I don't there was any permanent damage but buyer beware putting this in tanks with live fish. It is a great little filter, Once the Dust Settles.

I recently purchased the Frirodsay Fish Tank Filter Aquarium Sponge Filter, and I am very pleased with its performance. One of the best features of this filter is its quiet operation. Unlike some other filters that can be quite noisy, this one produces no sound at all. It's so peaceful to watch my fish swim around without any distracting noise.Another great thing about this filter is that it creates a fantastic display of bubbles in the tank. I have had my little filter for over a year, and it is still going strong! The plastic 90° connector for the airline tubing does have a few bubbles leak out the fitting, but this does not effect its performance. The only gripe I have is that the replacemwnt filters are out of stock with no easimated availability time.

Perfect for a small aquarium.After reading all the reviews, I was a little apprehensive, Glad I decided to purchase it.Yes, it is a little tricky to open. It takes a little patiences. Not a Big Deal.Works Well, Gives off a nice amount of bubbles. I would recommend.

I bought 2 of these to do a split tank for my betta fish. One works really well. The other makes alot of noise and constantly releases giant air bubbles instead of the smaller ones. I've checked all of the connections with the air pump, took apart the entire unit to try and find anything, and even replaced the air pump to see if the pump was the problem. Couldn't find anything. Oh, and there are no instructions. The entire box is written in Japanese.

It floated no matter what I tried and I was unable to clean it when it got dirty. Would not open.
