Just what needed! Instead of just ordering the fan I thought it would be easier to get a new motor. When I purchased the filter initially form a local aquarium shop, I think the motor was going bad because I would always have to wait hours (not minutes) in order to get it to pump out water until the propeller finally broke off. I really like the filter and my decision to replace the pump was spot on. I have a 50 gallon turtle tank with about a 50-100 guppies. They won't stop breeding for about 3 years now. This filter helps keep the tank inhabitants happy...clearly because I have multiple generations in there. Hope this review helps someone's decision in the future. I do recommend the filter and appreciate the ease of finding replacement parts.
