While I haven't had the chance to try these on the open water yet with my board, the design seems like a standard ankle strap fit; nothing too fancy. The cuff is cushioned and the leash is about 6 feet in length with a double swivel rotation. The leash and strap seem to be strong and secure; I'll update accordingly if not.

These are very basic, somewhat cheap feeling leashes but they will work. They have "memory" from being coiled up tightly in the box so they kind of flop and coil all over the place but I imagine they will relax and be straighter after some use in the sun. Both ends of the leashes have swivel attachments, which is very important, and the swivels seem to be of decent quality and durability so far. The leashes feel like they will dry rot after a season or two, but for $10 each, I can't complain.
