I have a 1960's house that had no flange (they just bolted the toilet to the floor) and was having hell trying to install a flange. the twist and sets were to big even after honing the whole out to clean it up a little bit and I even had to bust one of the twist and sets because it got stuck.... low and behold this product popped up after a search and I decided to take a chance... it worked like a miracle... my new toilet is now seated, level, and not leaking thanks to this product

I have 3" drain lines that immediately bend away into the concrete. No way to use a rigid toilet flange. This seemed like the ideal solution. My drain lines are cut level with the concrete. Note that the 3" portion of the skirt is over an inch below the bottom of the closet flange. this means that the 4" bell has to be compressed into a 3" pipe. This causes the whole thing to collapse on itself blocking the pipe (imagine trying to fit a bigger cardboard tube into a smaller one--it can only be done by collapsing the big one). The only solution I could find was to run a bead of silicone around the drain pipe before installing this flange. Then, after installing, I put in a temporary drain plug to press the walls of the skirt up against the inside of the drain pipe. The drain plug is a wad of paper towels wrapped in plastic bag. The drain plug pushed out the kinks and made the skirt adhere to the pipe. I was able to use it on a 3" drain, but it wasn't a straightforward solution.

Installed two of these and both failed. First one toggle bolts pulled out of grooves. Thought it might be bad bolts so I installed different toggle bolts and installed another flange just like the first. Much to my dismay, the second flange shattered into pieces and toilet broke off mount when my wife leaned forward on seat. Unfortunately, I had previously bought extras of these thinking id use one on my other toilet when the time came and the other would be a spare just in case. Now I'm outside the return window so I'm stuck with two of these. Go with ABS or metal.

HYiJiaQi Toilet Flange Repair Kit Closet Flange, Fits 4 inch Waste Lines -- I'm reflooring a bathroom in my house and with the last one I did I discovered the toilet flange had rusted out when removing the toilet. This time I'm goin to have this new one on hand and replace whether it needs it or not. I hate dealing with wax rings, both removal and install. Looks like this should work. I'll update later if it doesn't.

I honestly don't know what the people talking about not needing a wax ring are talking about, the silicone bit of this is designed to be fitted into the waste pipe.It should do fine. Make sure you have enough subfloor left to screw this into something and you'll be ok.

When renovating our bathroom we needed new flanges and this one was a great value and it seems to be very good quality plastic. Our plumber had no problem whatsoever installing it and it's confident that it will last for many years.

I'm remodeling a bathroom in my home and when the new flooring goes in, I'll have to relocate the toilet to get the flooring to go around the perimeter of the toilet drain. I've done this once before, and the single-use wax ring works--until it doesn't. Once I had a less-than-competent installer replace a toilet and that wax ring didn't seal properly. I had leakage from that toilet go through the ceiling of the area below. Ewwww. This flange is cleaner than those wax rings, and far more reliable for a good seal. And reusable!! Wax rings are so yesterday.

This product can really get you out of a bind if you just need to raise your toilet flange to adjust to your new floor height due to tile or laminate installation. Can easily be attached to the existing toilet flange without removal. Use your existing toilet bowl to floor hardware. Silicone sleeve is very pliable and makes a great seal to your four inch drain. There is also a thin layer of silicone underneath the flange to seal to your existing floor or toilet flange. I would recommend adding a layer of tube silicone at this joint as well. Nice quality plastics that will not rust over time. Just don't over tighten and break the plastic. Use a bead of silicone after setting the toilet to secure the front from shifting. Most codes don't like you to use silicone around the whole perimeter of the toilet and require you to at least keep the back side of the toilet open. Remember flange height should be 1/4 to 3/8" above the finished floor to properly secure the wax ring to the toilet. My recommendation: BUY
