This is a review for Aifong 2 Rolls Hemming Tape for Pants 66 ft. I ranked it 3 stars because it was easy to iron on & did stick, though it is lacking clear instructions. Sadly, it gummed the sole plate to my iron, and it wrinkled on the hem after drying in the dryer, even though I wet it prior to ironing it in place, per the instructions.Better instructions would likely have helped. For instance, I suspect the hem tape should be wet and left to dry naturally before using. I wet mine, but applied it while still damp (because directions said alternatively, you could spray it with water as it was being ironed) and it shrank further after I washed it and dried in the dryer. It could be that they do not intend that a garment should ever be dried in the dryer after applying the iron-on hem-tape, but the instructions do not address that at all. Who knows? I would rather sew a hem and have the garment be able to be washed & dried in the machine, so if this is not suitable for drying in the dryer, then I’d lower my rating even more. All we're told is that it is machine washable. It also doesn’t tell you how hot to have your iron or (important!) to use a pressing cloth! The melted adhesive oozes through the mesh and messed up my iron’s soleplate, and the trick of ironing (w/a warm iron) over a fabric softener sheet did not clean my soleplate. Grrr.It only has about 11 yards on each roll, so it doesn’t go as far as I’d like, for the price paid. I thought there was 22 yards per roll, but instead it's a total of 22 yards. See the difference in just this one application between the sizes of the (full) white and (remaining) black rolls.I measured the length dry against the garment, and yet had to add extra to complete the hemming on my culottes - I’m guessing it must have shrunk when wet. Why don’t they pre-shrink the mesh before applying the adhesive? That would be far better!
