Plenty of times I've accidentally dropped allen keys, wrenches, and other metal objects inside or underneath my machines at work where it is difficult to retrieve by hand. The magnet is strong and is easy to clean off metal chips. When fully extended it still feels durable. Overall it's built to last and I'm happy with my purchase.Edit (May 2025): it finally broke on me after using it daily for almost two years. I still consider this a worthy investment and will be replacing it with a new one.

I love this magnet because you can pull out the handle to lengthen your scope of reach. When you drop a pin you don’t have to get down on your hands and knees to pick it up…just lengthen handle and touch the pin and boom…it is attached and picked up.

What can I say it's an extendable magnet. Haven't tried to lift 20 lbs yet bet I'm happy with it nonetheless

Strong magnet, good reach if something rolls under something. Highly recommend for machinests who lose bolts or screws.

This is great to for hard to reach places. Especially if you can't bend down very well. I found this picked up everything I hoped to. Tacs,nails,etc.. I would recommended it.

Works very well. I have arthritis in my hands so picking up small fasteners is difficult this small tool has been very helpful.

I bought this telescopic magnetic pickup after watching a YouTube video where a similar device was used to find studs inside walls. This, by finding where screws are located and therefore concluding with a high degree of certainty there's a stud there. The magnet on it seems to be strong enough for this purpose. I tried it inside the bathroom and it worked acceptably, although this idea seems to not work with metal inside the wall (like pipes). Use a stud scanner for that.The item comes in its own bag which protects it during shipping. It's made out of metal and has a blue rubber coated handle, which improves grip. It's 7 1/8" long when retrieved, and it reaches 31" when fully extended. It weighs 2 3/4 ounces (81 grams).Overall, I think it's a reasonable quality device. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars, is because I think it becomes too wobbly when fully extended. I tried lifting 560 gr (19.7 oz) and it was able to do it with no issues, backing up the manufacturer's claim it'd lift 20 ounces (566 gr). However, it bent too much when fully extended and lifting it in a slight angle.I'm yet to use it pick up screws or other metal items from hard to reach places. Will update my review later.
