My order arrived in the condition that a couple others in previous reviews said. Lots of tiles were unbroken. That was great for the project I needed them for. I used them in between the painted Mexican tiles and did the risers on my stairwell. Very happy with what I got. I will say there are two different blues. Not much variation in color though. Subtle, yet one is shinier.

These are pretty good, but do note that they seem to be from two different batches so there are two slightly different blues.

As I was hoping, these "broken" talavera tiles turned out to be mostly not-broken. I grew up on the Mexican border and have wanted to bring a bit of that deep blue ceramic into my home in Tennessee - these will be amazing for a little tile border on my fireplace! I think the seller is getting imperfect boxes from a tile dealer and selling them as mosaic supplies, when in reality only a few tiles in the box don't meet the standards. I can't guarantee your experience will be the same as mine, but I'm very happy with what I received! In case you're unfamiliar, talavera tiles are on the thin side, slightly irregular, with a deep blue/cobalt glaze (sometimes including other colors, too.). They do tend to be breakable as the clay is pretty porous.

I'm not sure how to review a bunch of dark blue tiles that are broken. As far as what I expected, it's five stars. They look nice and in various states. Some are pristine, others are in pieces. If you are looking for tiles to make a mosaic project with, these will hopefully work well.

Quite a hefty box of Mexican tile, most are intact but with small chips on edges/corners, that can be broken further to use for garden/furniture projects, with a true terracotta clay backing and finished blue fronts. They won’t be usable to finish full backsplash or wall tiling but again, great for adding to mosaic or “rough” style projects.

I create large mushrooms for the garden made from concrete. After they cure, I do mosaic designs on the mushrooms with glass and tile. They are works of art and they are really fun to make. I saw these cobalt blue Talavera tiles and just had to add them to my craft supplies for mushroom crafting. They are made from red clay and then finished with a cobalt blue glaze. Nothing fancy about them in the box that included broken pieces but, since they are going to be broken up even more, that is not a problem. I would like to see more colors of this type of tile, as they are perfect for mosaic projects.

Good quality tiles, a fair amount of them survived shipment, but most are broken in at least one area. Despite this, the color is rich and vibrant, the pottery is thick and well made, and the amount of tiles, broken or not, is a good value.I will be using these for some sort of cob structure, or on some pathway embedded in cement.

Not rich in blue color. They are okay. Just okay. I was hoping for a deeper Talavera blue. These are that cheaper looking blue. But I’m sure we can find something to do with them. So yeah. They are just okay. Not great.
