The description is far off from reality. The unit I ordered says its rated for 1400 watts, 800 wind and 600 solar. The unit has 5 battery settings but all of the published user guides do not show the controller I received?There are a lot of settings but absolutely no information about the battery type to use for automatic set up. Only b0, b1, b2, b3, and b4.The b0 setting allows you to go into the settings however the parameters available are not what the user guide shows. Down in the description the 12v unit for lithium batteries should be the blue one. Mine is green but does have the 12v setting. No matter how i set it the brake sets at 400w. I have an 800w turbine and get an average wind of around 20 to 30mph so it does me no good because the brake is always on. I have asked the manufacturer for a correct programming guide and will update this review once they respond. This may be a new model that I received that is different than the previous versions available.

Appears to be discontinued item. Wrong (seemingly intentionally) manual is included. Item parameters cannot be set, as 4 battery types are coded in the menu. Without Manual Lithium battery cannot be set and the user riskes damage to their battery.Manufacturer in China refuses to respond to queries. ZERO support.Do not buy!

I bought this to run my 12v system off wind as a backup to my 24v system. It kept the batteries topped off and even prevented my wind generator from discharging the batteries when there wasn't enough wind. Super easy set up as well

does not work, no support, total rip-off. do not buy this phony product.made big mistake. Purchased this before i was ready to test it. when finally was able to plug it in it was DOAdevice failed, drained my lithium batteries, no setup possible screen wrong, book wrong, no real contact info... website is dead, no phone, just 2 flaky international chat programs that lead nowhere, no email.I will never buy something again, before i am ready to use it. I was planning ahead, and it cost me $200

With my orginal controller I could not maintain above 25 volts dc . Install MPPT controller voltages maintaining around 27.5 dc volts and not had any problems.

Seemed like a good idea but it wasn’t. Tried 3 different turbines and this controller would not work with any of them. Both 12 and 24 volt. That was bad enough but the seller, whew. If you need any troubleshooting tips or advice forget it, completely useless. All they want to talk about is the 3 turbines that must be bad and their field research that suggests people don’t know how to properly use their product. The manual is almost written in English except it’s so broken and so many words out of place it’s all but un legible. Maybe you will get a good one, Lord help you if you don’t. Absolutely refuse to stand behind this product. Do yourself a favor, bypass this one.

Sometime in 2019-2020So far I am very pleased with this controller. I have 400 watts of solar, and 600 watts of wind connected. This controller seems to handle them very efficiently, my Battle Born maintains 75%-100% charge regardless of usage on the houseboat.Update-8/29/2021The first of these controllers failed after approximately 18 months, I recently purchased a second due to the compatability with LiFePo battery. I do not know the cause of the failure. The first one operated flawlessly until failure, this is an electronic item, stuff happens, could have been quality, or lightning, or heat, anything. Once I analyze the first unit, I will provide an update. If you don't need LiFePo compatability, Marsrock has lower priced units. I am not disappointed with Marsrock, clearly as I purchased the same unit again.

This Hybrid Wind-Solar MPPT/58A is easy to use; it's and upgrade to the original wind controller that came with the 0.5 KW wind generator. I like the digital display showing DC V, Amps and Watts of Wind/Solar. The 800 watt dump load is superior and it comes with wires. I'm glad i got two hybrid MPPT from Amazon and two 0.5 KW wind generator again from Amazon at a great price. highly recommend both.
