This product does not meet your needs, it is a robot that you must be cooking to clean your pool, and it does not collect the sand.

Works great for a pool we put up and take down every year

This price for a cordless, rechargeable pool vacuum appealed to me. We have a Dolphin Nautilus CC, which works great, and picks up big stuff, but it has a 60 foot cord, is relatively heavy, and is a pain if I just want to do a touch-up, say, or a quick vac before company comes over. Now, the description says it works on above and in-ground pools without sloped floors: emphasis on WITHOUT. I didn't see that part in the description when I ordered it. I've never seen an in-ground, backyard pool without some type of sloped floor (except in their video), but I guess they're out there. Anyway, our pool is small and does have a mildly sloped floor, but no real deep end. It's sort of like a shallow bowl. It also has rounded edges at the bottom where it meets the sides. More on this later. The vacuum runs by water propulsion coming out of either end depending on direction. It does not have powered wheels/treads, like the more expensive ones, so it does not do great on our mild slope. But it manages to get around. It depends on a sharp perpendicular angle at the edges so that it will change direction, otherwise it starts to go up the side until the entry angle is too much and the body bottoms out. That results in scuffing of the body which will probably wear it out, but again, they did say it was for flat bottoms without sloped sides. It does a good job of picking up basic debris and sand, but I would not expect it to pick up heavier items like large leaves, sticks, etc. It runs for about an hour and a half, and charges up in about the same amount of time. I find that running it twice back-to-back covers the whole pool. It's much lighter than a corded vacuum, and about the same effort to empty out. I give it four stars only because when you pull it out of the pool, the draining water dumps some of the dirt back in. Not ideal but not a deal breaker either. So, bottom line: for the price, and particularly if you have a flat pool, it's very handy. I recognize that I'm pushing it beyond the manufacturer's intended limits, but it still works well for me. I give it four stars only because of the draining issue. Otherwise, if you have a flat pool, and are looking to go rechargeable economically, I highly recommend it.

I have a $600 dolphin and have been wondering if it was worth the money and if wireless would've been the better choice. Figured this was a good opportunity to get a glimpse of it.First the nuances, water seems to always find its way into the charging port. The device still charges and works, its just annoying having to dry/wait for the port to dry before charging. When removing the vacuum from the pool, if you let the water drain back into the pool it also releases a bit of what it vacuumed as well.Effectiveness, at the same capacity (load/time) its comparable to the dolphin vacuum for small particles and fine sand. The vacuum moves pretty fast compared to the dolphin so I was surprised it actually had a decent amount vacuumed. So I'd say the vacuum strength is not that far off from wired. The overall in comparison to a wired and more expensive vacuum:-cycle per use: clean > dry > take inside > charge > wait == if running daily this can be a hassle. with wired it can run daily, sitting in the pool and cleaned once a week.-cordless is very nice, especially when I'm having tangling cord issues atm. it was also a hassle to bundle the cord when removing from poolIn the end, I think the benefits of cordless cancels out with the hassle of "cycle per use". So for now the benefits of cord vacuums imo is still the better choice.

I'll start by saying that for less than $100, this is not a bad little robot vac. The design is very simple and it seems sturdy enough to at least last for a season. Maybe more. It comes fully assembled and ours was fully charged as well. There was a confusing moment when we tried to attach the included brushes only to realize that there were already brushes attached. Not sure why there were extra brushes included as the paperwork clearly stated that replacement brushes were NOT included. As far as it's cleaning ability, it does an adequate job. We have a few wrinkles in the bottom of our pool, and it would frequently get hung up on these. If the bottom of your pool is nice and smooth, this shouldn't be an issue. This robot doesn't vacuum systematically. Rather, it just kind of goes until it runs into something. Then it backs up and goes in a different direction. The instructions give you the idea that it will vacuum in a zig zag pattern across the entire pool, but this has not been my observation. When it does hit upon a clump of leaves or debris, it does a pretty good job of getting it up with the exception of the large leaves from our magnolia tree. The run time is pretty good, about an hour and a half. I like that it has a light display on top that indicates if something is wrong or blinks to let you know the battery needs to be charged. You don't have to wonder why it's just sitting there doing nothing. I don't like that it doesn't dock itself at the side of the pool when the battery gets low like the instructions said it would do.Overall, for the money, this vacuum is worth the price. Does it do everything the instructions claim it will do? No. But it does the most important thing, which is vacuum up debris from the bottom of your pool.

Not enough power. Works great for five minutes and does suck up the dirt even fine sand but is only strong enough to propel in water for 5 minutes then stops moving easily. Got stuck on a very small wrinkle in liner. Had to nudge it then it moved very slow. I bought it so I didn’t have to stay out and vacuum but this I had to stay out to nudge it over very small wrinkle.

I had a $250 automatic vacuum cleaner and it lasted only one season. This works fabulous! Very simple to charge on top instead of opening it up to get to the charger work. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner! What a great deal
