I love making all sorts of flatbreads, but it can br frustrating to end up with a product that is tougher than it should be due to being overworked during the rolling out process. I have a standard cast metal tortilla press, which works fine for corn tortillas, but is too small for much of anything else. This entirely marvelous bamboo press is perfect for my needs! It assembles quickly and intuitively, and the box contains all of the findings and tools needed to do the job--it took my husband less than 5 minutes start to finish. It comes with a small rolling pin (which will also be ideal for dumplings!) and squares of parchment that fit the press. I made a quick batch of flour tortillas as a test run and it worked *perfectly*: the dough can be adjusted for thickness simply by pressing fewer or a greater number of times, and the press achieves an even thickness that is challenging to do by hand; the process is incredibly fast, easy, and fun. I found that by removing the top layer of parchment, transferring the tortillas to the hot pan on the bottom parchment, inverting them, and then peeling off the (now top) parchment ensured that they retained their shape. This tool is a game changer for me. It's not that it does something I cannot do on my own, but it does the job far BETTER...and that's huge. The press seems to be extremely well-constructed and of excellent quality, so I've no concerns about longevity. It is an excellent value for the price, and I look forward to years ahead of pita bread, onion flatbread, and chapati, as well as tortillas galore. Highly recommended!

Beautiful tortilla press and super simple to put together. It didn't come with instructions but if you look at the picture it's not hard to figure out how it goes. I will say that the "rolling pin" it comes with is basically just a wooden stick that is too small to really be useful. That's my only real complaint I have about this press though.

I grew up using a metal tortilla press, but this wooden one is a huge upgrade! It’s much sturdier, and the 10-inch size is perfect for making large tortillas. The included rolling pin and parchment paper make it super easy to get the perfect press every time. I’ve made everything from tortillas to chapati with it, and they turn out amazing. Definitely a must-have for anyone who loves homemade flatbreads!

This is made from a pressed bamboo product, it looks like wood at a glance but appears to have zero pores. Nice looking and a bit heavier than wood would be. Some assembly required and that assembly took me literally less than 4 minutes with the included screwdriver/allen wrench thing. The rolling pin is also made of that bamboo stuff and is approx 3/4" to 22mm around. The paper anti stick sheets are nice and work well. I do wish I could adjust the thickness but aside from that I'm quite pleased.

Haven’t used it yet, but it’s a tortilla press! I have a small cast iron press that works great, but is only capable of making small tortillas. I love this one because I can now make burrito tortillas! It has a few circles on the inside to show you how big your tortillas are, which is really nice to attempt to get uniform results!
