The item technically extended my network, but it was degraded so much that it was not worth using. The download speeds were a fraction of what they were using this device.

this is junk. it failed after less than a month. pwr light just flashes and other lights are lit.

I don’t know how long it will last. I hope for a long time, but it definitely solved my security camera WiFi needs. I had a camera up that gave false triggers constantly all day and night, so it was basically useless as an incident alert tool. I bought a better camera, but it was not near as efficient at reaching my router. I got this tool and installed it close to my camera, which happens to be in my living room. I was concerned that all my streaming devices would see this stronger signal and want to jump on it and slow its priority down affecting the video fidelity, but this divide uses a separate ssid, so if you don’t direct something to use it isn’t going to jump to it. So all that to say, this was a very easy solution to my issue. If it doesn’t last, I’ll put a mesh node out there, but for now, it is working perfectly.
