I use these often for blocking my crochet pieces. They are sturdy and reusable. It's great getting a set that includes different sizes. I can block anything from Granny squares to afghans.

The two different sizes make blocking larger pieces and straight edges so much easier! I'll sit and set 40-60 t-pins if I have to, but these take away the majority of the frustration that comes with blocking straight edges

Some of the blocking comb are rough and snag the yarn when blocking.

I'm happy to have found these to use, not realizing beforehand blocking "combs" were available for use with blocking mats. Before this, I was using standard T-pins. While T-pins do have thicker steel shafts, their points are roundly tapered. These combs are actually shaped similarly to sewing machine needles with slightly flat heads to allow for careful insertion into finer yarns or crochet threads.I love the color of this orange, not too bright or gaudy, but still a visual contrast to most of the colors I like using to knit or crochet with. I also like the feel of the grip in-hand. The needle shafts seem to be planted firmly in the comb base, though I have not yet tried pushing them into my blocking mat.I especially like the sturdy storage box, as I have a tendency to be a bit careless with sharp things, and these points are very sharp! The box lid fits snugly so there is no concern of it coming off (or breaking) if the box is accidentally dropped. There are strategically placed grooves in the box bottom so that it is easy inserting the combs back in place neatly and straight. The included foam helps to keep the needle points protected and will be easy enough to replace with other foam if this one eventually wears out.I can definitely recommend these for multiple types of blocking projects. The two comb sizes will be handy for longer sections and eliminate the need for so many T-pins ... I will especially be able to use the shorter combs when I am creating small-scale doll apparel. :)

I do a lot of crochet but I have not tried blocking my granny squares with real tools before. I picked up this set of blocking combs to try and I really like them. They come with their own storage case, which makes storing them a breeze. They work well for blocking granny squares, as well as garments! They are easy to use and stay in place well. The pins are sharp so be careful because they can catch and snag on skin.

These knit blockers are easy to use and vital when blocking large shawls or projects. Highly recommend.
