Perfect blocking board! Nice size, great quality, very sturdy and durable! It works very well. The pins are sturdy but easy to move around and place. I love how it folds up for storage and has the stand that also holds the pins. Great design, I'm very pleased.

This blocking board is the perfect size. Can fit multiple items on it at once. The pegs are nice and sturdy and it comes with 20 of them. The board itself is foldable which is great for storage purposes. Good quality!

I absolutely love this blocking board! It's large, so that I can block large items, and is very heavy duty. Because it's so beefy it does weigh a bit (I was very surprised when I opened the box to find out how much it weighs)! Overall, it's one of the best blocking boards that I've ever used!

The blocking board itself is great. It is huge so I'm able to block larger pieces easily. It came with 20 pegs which is fair amount. The board is heavy duty sturdy and seems very durable. It folds in half which is nice. Because of the insanely large size it is easier to put away and store. The reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is simply because of the base that it comes to stand on. The base is very small, the same size as the base for my blocking board that is a quarter this size. It does not hold up the large board easily or well. I feel it would be very easy to knock down. With its aforementioned sturdy weight, I would worry that if it was knocked down by my cat or child they could end up injured to be fair, not life-threateningly injured but enough to warrant a yowl or some tears

I'm not *entirely* sure how to feel about this one. It's definitely solid and sturdy! To the point I almost had trouble lifting and manipulating it. This is not cheap particle board. It will stand up to considerably more abuse than foam blocking mats, and the pegs are similarly sturdy, if you have something that needs hefty stretching. It does fold in half for easier storage, which is nice.On the down sides:As previously mentioned, it's *hefty*. But the stand it fits into is relatively small, so in the end it's not terribly sturdy. I would keep it well away from pets or small children that might risk knocking this -heavy board- onto themselves.I wish there was a better storage solution for the pegs. They come rubber banded and in a plastic bag, which -works-, but it's not especially attractive, and would be relatively easy to misplace. There is a carved holder for them in the base, but it's not covered or anything, so they can easily get knocked out, etc.A couple of the holes weren't drilled properly, but there are plenty available, just position your pieces to avoid those few problem spots. But, my biggest complaint, is that the pegs and holes aren't a very good match for size. At the base, this isn't a very big deal, but by the ends, there's a lot of wiggle, probably a good inch or so from one side to the other. So, if you had visions, as I did, of blocking an entire stack of squares at once... not happening. Would be fine for storing a whole stack, though, before or after being stretched individually.

I crochet constantly I have gathered every gadget known to mankind that has anything to do with crochet except a blocking board.I've always been hesitant to purchase them because, overall, it was an expense I wasn't really sure I needed to invest in. When I started working on a particularly difficult baby blanket, my frustration level got the better of me, and I finally went shopping for a way to block the lace so it would lay flat.I chose the 17 inch because I sometimes have very large projects, and I thought this would help me block areas or multiple motifs all at once, but I honestly wasn't expecting what I received. I figured for the price, I'd get some particle board and a few plastic pegs. Yeah, no. That's not what you get at all. This beauty is solid hardwood and not a cheap, thin cut either. I had to wrestle the box into the house and was seriously wondering if someone stuffed rocks in it as a joke. The board itself is well-sanded and hinged to fold in half. It is a 3/4 inch reinforced birch, as is the stand. I was concerned with the stand because of the design but because it's solid hardwood, the stand works great. The board slots in at a slight angle to keep it in place and it also acts as a storage tray for the steel pins. That's right, steel pins! Not plastic. The holes on the board go right to the edge, giving you the maximum workable surface area on the board. Each pin is long enough to handle at least 10 motifs stacked if they are made using level 4 worsted weight yarn. Bulky would, of course, take up more room per motif. My suggestion is to wash the pins as soon as you get them unpackaged. They are covered in machine oil and just handling them will get your hands dirty. You don't want that to transfer to your work. I love this board. For the price it is way beyond what I had hoped to get and if cared for, could easily be passed down again and again.Get this board, you will be happy you did.
