I’ve checked out a whole bunch of portable solar kits but I found this one and it is exactly what I wanted. The price was less expensive for a number of reasons. Enjoy your new solar panels.

So, I only used it 2 times to test if it would charge battery banks. I am in Florida and hurricane season is always coming. I just wanted something to charge fans and lights and phones with. So far so good. Took about 2 hrs to charge battery bank to full. Maybe less, I just happened to check at 2 hrs.

Great for camping and hiking. Need that extra bit of power source when in the wilderness? This is a decent buy. I also have the same issues as others with it not staying all the way shut and open but it does still pack away nicely in my backpack the way i have it stowed. It stows into the size of a tablet so it's a good size. Doesn't' come with any cables but that's not an issue for me since everything i buy seems to have them. It's a decent solar panel.

I tested this panel on a sunny day in January, and was able to draw 17 watts of power, which is 85% of it's rated 20-watt output. To me, that's a very acceptable number, so in that sense, this panel works as advertised. When folded, it measures about 12" x 8" but it is very stiff and doesn't stay closed. I have to clip both sides together using the 2 carabiners that were included in order to keep it closed. Similarly, the stiffness makes it kind of difficult to keep it fully open, as it seems to want to stay partially folded unless it's laying flat. In fairness, this isn't really a big issue, but worth mentioning.Other than the two carabiners, it comes with no other accessories. Not even a USB cord. It also lacks any type of power cable or adapters, so you're limited to either a USB-A or USB-C cable for charging anything.Overall, this is a pretty decent panel, and gets very close to the rated 20-watt output. However, the lack of charging options or accessories make it pretty limited in value, especially since there are higher-output foldable panels available that include various power adapters for nearly the same listed price. If you're only looking for 20 watts of power, and don't need anything other than USB cables (which you must provide), this could be ideal for you.

We are big camping people, so this is great for any use case where you need something truly "off-grid." I am giving these the full 5 stars, because it actually performs very well for a true solar powered device, particularly a portable one. With solar, you'll notice a slower charging time than a pre-charged DC power bank, so keep that in mind.Pros:- Great charging speed for a solar device- Holds and accumulates charge well- Current price is less than $20 which makes it a great deal IMO- Includes both USB-A and USB-C ports- For people who want to hang it, the carabiners are a nice touch- Size is good for portabilityCons- While very portable, still a bit large when open- Not powerful enough to charge large devices like laptops (not deducting a star, because 20W is not meant to do that anyway)If you're looking for a great portable charging device, this is a fantastic option!

This solar panel has proven to be a valuable addition to my camping and hiking gear, providing a reliable source of power when I'm off the grid. It's particularly useful for keeping my phone, GPS, and other small devices charged during extended trips into the wilderness. While it's not without its minor quirks, the overall performance and portability make it a worthwhile investment. One of the most significant advantages of this solar panel is its compact size and portability. When folded, it's roughly the size of a tablet, making it easy to stow in my backpack without taking up excessive space. This is crucial when packing light for hiking or backpacking trips. However, like many other users have noted, the panel doesn't always stay completely closed or fully open. The hinges seem a bit loose, which can be slightly annoying. Despite this, I've found that it still packs away neatly and securely in my backpack, so it hasn't been a major issue. The lack of included cables wasn't a concern for me. I've accumulated a collection of USB cables from other devices, so I had no problem connecting my devices to the panel. However, it's worth noting for potential buyers that you'll need to provide your own cables. In terms of performance, the solar panel does its job effectively. It charges my devices at a reasonable speed, even in moderately sunny conditions. The output is consistent, and I haven't experienced any significant fluctuations in power. While it's not going to charge a laptop or power-hungry device quickly, it's more than adequate for smaller electronics. For the price, this solar panel offers a good balance of portability, performance, and durability. It's a reliable option for anyone who needs a portable power source for outdoor adventures. While the minor issue with the hinges is a bit of a drawback, the overall functionality and value make it a decent purchase.
