This unit is great. I thought I would have to use a huge inverter to get enough 110v power to run an A/C unit. Using this directly off of my 600ah battery bank, this thing blows frosty cold air. The scroll compressor does a great job of slowly ramping up to speed so you don’t get the compressor “kick” when using it. No initial startup surge - no need for a separate soft starter added in. Very quiet, very cold and it puts so much less strain on my system than if were inverting up to 110 for a conventional compressor. This is a game changing way of doing things that finally makes 12v air conditioning possible off of a solar and battery setup. Installation was fairly straightforward and it’s been operating under a wide range of conditions for over 6 months now. Highly recommended.

This A/C Blows very cold air! It consumes about 50 to 30 amps at 12 volts.

This was my first AC project attempted. After watching many videos of how to install this unit, it was very easy, considering. Rely on videos on similar units to get it up and running as the directions are for probably for people who install these regularly. I'll update my review in several months.Update as of 2/3/2025: unit still cools well after being dormant for several months of cold weather.

I love this unit in that it produces adequate cold air, easy to install ( I had to get rid of the red case and installed the compressor and the fan in separate locations under my van) everything works wonderfully so far except I couldn’t control the temp. In eco mode it stay constant at 26c/78f, in strong mode it will stay at 16c/60.8f and in sleeping mode it stays at 28c/82.4f those r the only option I have. The up and down temp control doesn’t work. But for now the eco mode 26c/78f is fully adequate for me. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for defective temperature sensor control.

We built a sleeper into one of our box trucks and this worked perfect to keep it cool for the drivers. It's a good value for the money and came with everything needed to get the job done except for Freon, of course. We are 7 months in now and the unit is still working fine. The compressor is a little more noisy than it was originally but it is still working. I will update the review if it gives us any problems.
