The diameter of the holder is larger than the inner diameter of the flap disks so it is almost impossible to get it on. The holder is 1.8" diameter, the 40 grit disk I was using has an inner diameter of 1.765". Not a whole lot but the flaps are glued in place with no flex.Eventually I did but after about 30 seconds of use it fell off, taking the center of the holder with it. It was pressed in, I used my arbor press to put it back in but it didn't take much effort and I am sure it will fall out again.Honestly this is a fail. The only way to make it work would be to shave a little off the outer edge of the holder and hope the center stays put.

These are being used to prep steel tubing ends prior to welding. So far, so good but I will update this review as I use them more.The only wear I have noticed after a few days of using these, are on the very edges of the flaps. This is typical and not alarming at this point. We will see how the faces of the flaps hold up over time but if they were really that poorly made, I would see signs already.I will also be looking out for the plastic threaded part that connects it to the mandrel possibly breaking prematurely. Not sure of the plastic used, so that is a failure point to be on the lookout for. There are no obvious signs of weakness in regard to the quality or thickness of that plastic.Initial impressions are pretty good and am finding them very useful. They do the job.

Zero stars not available. Worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon. If you even look at them the grit falls off. One or two revolutions and you are down to the backing. Fast or slow. Light or hard. Pathetic. I am stunned by how poor they are. Unfortunately I needed them asap.

Not much to complain about here. The grit is aggressive enough for heavy deburring, and the R-type backing fits snugly on my tool. After going through a few discs on some stainless steel brackets, I’m happy with how durable they are. Good bang for your buck.

I bought these for some detailed work on curved metal surfaces, and they performed really well. The curved shape makes a big difference when working in hard-to-reach spots.

I use these mainly for prepping metal before welding, and they’ve made the job so much faster and cleaner. The curved design really helps follow contours, and they don’t wear out nearly as fast as other brands I’ve tried. These are staying in my toolbox for good.

I’ve used these flap discs for grinding welds and smoothing rough edges on steel tubing — they work like a charm.
