With 1Gb network speeds starting to feel a bit dated, I decided it was time to upgrade my setup to 2.5Gbps. I chose this SODOLA PCIe network card for the job, and I'm happy to report it works great! Installation was straightforward, and it's handling the faster speeds perfectly. If you're looking to move beyond Gigabit speeds and need a reliable 2.5Gb network card, this one is a solid choice. Definitely recommended for making the jump!

the card and connectivity are ideal to high fiber lines. it really relies upon your home network, as normally there are only 1 or 2 actual high speed ports on the fiber modems/routers - ours is a 7.5gb and it only has 1x 2.5gb. as long as you know your home networking this card will scream :)

I just installed this 2.5Gb PCIe network card in my desktop. The Realtek chip seems to be doing its job. It was pretty easy to slot in, and the drivers loaded without any fuss on my machine. I'm finally seeing the faster speeds I'm paying for from my internet provider, at least on the wired connection. It's a noticeable improvement for large file transfers on my home network too. Definitely worth it if you've got the network infrastructure to support these speeds. I paid for gigabit speeds and im going to use em!

The card is compact and well-designed, allowing for quick and easy installation. There is no need for additional driver installation, which saves a lot of time. Compared to traditional 1000M gigabit network ports, the improvement of this 2.5G port in local network speeds is quite noticeable. It’s a great choice for those looking to upgrade their home or office network, particularly in a local area network (LAN) setup.

Card connects as a 2.5 Gb connection, but transfers are slower than on board 1 Gb. Tried on several different connections and several different computers, same issue. You would be better off with on board equipment.

This blazing fast dual-port gigabit network card card provides for reliable networking and is an absolute beast! It is powered by an Intel 82576 chip and delivers blistering speeds up to 1000 Mbps on each port simultaneously. Setting it up is a total breeze; just pop it into an available PCIe slot, install the drivers, and it works flawlessly right out of the box on a Windows PC. The dual ports provide the flexibility to connect two separate networks or create a team for redundancy and even higher throughput. It has a solid, well-made feel and a nice full-size bracket that fits snugly. I also love the inclusion of the low-profile bracket for smaller form factor systems. Overall, if you need fast, reliable gigabit networking performance, this dual NIC card is an absolute no-brainer. The Intel pedigree shines through in the flawless real-world performance. Highly recommended!

The internet is so vast and there is a lot that I didn't realize until buying this item. First, depending on how old your laptop or desktop or any device you use to connect to the internet, the speed that you pay for versus the speed you actually might have depends on just ONE thing - the network card. You can subscribe to 1gig of speed, but unless your network card can handle that, you won't get that. This item is used for desktops. If you have a laptop, pretty much you need to get a USB Network adapter. REMEMBER THAT connecting by an ethernet cord will always be faster than wireless.

Put it in an old workstation with pfsense fw. Used it as the lan interface. Don't have any 2.5Gbps device to connect to it. Works great at 1g. I feel like it was a good value for money. Compatible with BSD os. Seems stable and good build quality. Thanks.
