For my uses (keeping 3d printing filament spools dry being the main purpose), it's important to know when the desiccant pack is unable to continue pulling in moisture from the air. Otherwise, I'd either be wasting the disposable packs by throwing them out before they were fully used or letting the moisture build up from not knowing if the pack was too old and used. So these are great for the visual reference, and also the reusability. The pack of this size should take care of all my needs, and each packet is a good size.

I ordered the Silica gel packets desiccant packs 20 grams to use in putting inside vacuum storage bags that I store my 3D printer filament in. I had been using smaller packets of desiccant packets and when I saw these 20-gram packs I wanted to give them a try. I really like the convenience of the 20-gram packs because I now only need to put one pack in with a roll of filament before I vacuum seal it back up for storage. It is more convenient and is also more cost effective for me where I use so many different variety rolls of filament.

I ordered these for use in my RV closets, which tend to be on the damp side here in the Pacific Northwest. They are a good size for tucking away in cabinets and drawers, too. Since receiving them, I’ve also started using them in my dry soup mixes and other food items which I store in glass jars. I haven’t used them long enough to see a color change, but turning from orange to dark green should be easy to detect. It’s great that they can be reactivated in the oven or microwave. The packets can be stored in the foil lined, zip lock package.

I got these to put inside the container for my dogs’ food. It helps keep the moisture out and keep it fresh longer. These are a great size that will fit in any small container. The quality seems to be good, and I don’t know how to recharge these, I just chuck them when they’re done but the instructions say they can be recharged, so the valued is doubled. These are easy to use, just grab one and put it where you need to keep moisture in check and you’re done. Check periodically to make sure they’re good and just replace when they’re done : ) A+
