This ignition coil worked great for my 25cc ryobi grass trimmer. Best of all, they give you just enough spark plug wire that you should be able to remove the boot from the plug without separating the wire from the boot. The original manufacturer wire pulled out of the boot because there was no slack when I pulled it off to check my plug. This coil is better. And it came with the correct new plug. Win, win.

This coil fixed my Ryobi RY253SS string trimmer that would either work/start well or die and be nearly impossible to restart. Replaced the coil with this part and the trimmer works beautifully, it doesn’t die on its own anymore and restarts with a single pull when warm/hot. The only negative I’ve encountered is that the coil doesn’t have the wire clips molded on it like the OEM so you have to take care to ensure the wires won’t drift and get caught in the flywheel when you install this coil.

My Ryobi Powerhead is about 7-8 years old and was getting hard to fire up. After watching a Great YouTube video on how to replace it I ordered one from Amazon seller The Hipa Store. The install was flawless and simple and started on the first crank. The Ignition Coil arrived earlier than the original delivery date which worked out great. Amazon has helped me keep my garden tools running way past their prime with just a few simple fixes.

Very good coil assembly looks identical to the OEM and functions very well. I like that the ignition wire was shielded and was just a little bit longer than the stock .
