Didn't fit as i expected as the size was bigger even though it said 5/8"Installation process seemed straight forward, quality is very good, price is excellent, lock and key work well.

These are your typical low quality, keyed, cam locks. These are not for high security. Easily picked, likely even easier to force open. But they are inexpensive.

Unfortunately, the original lock that came with my gun box, had keys that went missing. So I had to drill out the lock and find a replacement. These, that I purchased, we're a little bit larger than the original hole for the lock that came with the gun box so I had to do a little filing to make it fit. Ultimately it went in without any problems and is a perfect replacement for what originally was a fine lock but without a key not so good.
