Rubber mallets have a lot of uses, but often the ones you can find in the box stores are larger and heavier. These two mallets are perfect when you need something a little smaller but still a rubber head. Both these mallets the wife can use, and you'd be surprised how many uses she finds for a rubber mallet. We'd order another one.

This is a good set of lightweight hammers. There was an oily film on the head of the larger rubber mallet when it arrived- probably residue from the manufacturing process. It wiped off easily and didn't return (no additional seepage). I didn't notice a film on the rubber head of the smaller hammer. What I did notice is the "hard pvc" and the "soft rubber" heads didn't seem to be much different in hardness. I don't have a durometer, or other means to test this scientifically, so this is just an observation. The heads on the smaller hammer are replaceable, so if you need a softer head you could add one later. These hammers will be handy to have around.

This is a decent, inexpensive set of mallets that work for my purposes but the handles are not fiberglass like they've described. I cut into the handle of the large rubber mallet with a razor and it cuts like plastic. I wouldn't be able to slice into it if it was fiberglass. It would also be difficult if it was made from nylon like some others use. This set still deserves 3-Stars from me because the sizes were perfect for what I use them for but I'll still be using my big wooden handled mallet for anything that needs a good malletin'.

This is a nice set of hammers if your need requires a “soft” touch such as when assembling “Assembly Required” furniture, installing tile or laminate, woodworking projects, etc.As far as construction goes, I have found no cracks or defects in either hammer (but see below for what some may consider a defect). The heads on both hammers are solid. The handles are comfortable to grasp and long enough to get the most out of using them. The handles also have a rubber wrap that increases the firmness of the grip to keep the hammers from sliding out of your hand. The one thing that some may consider a defect is that the bands around the handles near the head of the hammers are more for show than for practicality. As you can see from the pictures included the bands are not attached to the handles or the heads. They are similar to a heavy rubber band. The main thing to keep in mind about these hammers is their size. The head of the soft face hammer is slightly smaller than a quarter. I have a rubber mallet that I have had for years. I included a picture of this mallet beside the rubber hammer included in this Kzotzo set. The difference in size and weight between them is significant. This difference is size is not a negative, but it would be a mistake to think that this Kzotzo hammer set is made to do the same jobs as larger hammers. At the same time, these smaller hammers can do finer detail work than the larger hammers. There is a place in my toolbox for both sizes. When I ordered this hammer set the price was $19.99. I found that to be on the high side and would have rated these hammers with 4-Stars, but at the time I wrote this review the price has dropped to $9.99 (I do not if the price will stay there) and for that a feel a 5-Star rating is justifiable.

Sometimes the BFH is just too much! These are very nice precision hammers for the "light touch".

These mallets are a great addition to my toolbox. They’re small(ish) but strong so they pack a big punch without taking a lot of room. They’re high quality, lightweight, and comfortable to hold.As a technician that travels all over and has to have a tool for every issue in a portable toolbox, I highly recommend this mallet set.

Excellent household tools, very useful and versatile. I use them to join pieces of wood without damaging or scratching them, even for chipping ice. They're lightweight, good quality, and for the price, they seem like an excellent option.
