- Item arrived in zip lock bag, could have been in better packaging but it was inside amazon padded bag anyway- Quality of lock cable and lock itself is very decent, mounting bracket is added bonus- It is 5 digit code lock so its more secure then 4 digit- Set up was so easy, there was no instructions of how to setup your own digits but one of the product picture has information- It worked fine for electric scooter that kids has for collage, kids like it- Price is somewhat reasonable- Very highly recommend product

These two locks are very easy to set up and use. The process for setting the combination is quick and straightforward, it seems to be quite sturdy, and very simple to wrap around a bike rack to protect my bike while running errands. This is not super heavy duty and a strong pair of wire cutters could probably get through the cable, but for standard protection in a decent town, this would keep the average prankster from taking my bike.

I love these cable locks; they are perfect for locking up plastic tackle or toolboxes without spending all that money on a metal padlock where the extra security isn't going to make your stuff safer. Also the Craftsman multi toolboxes on wheels only has a narrow slit for locking down the lids. This type of cable lock is great for poking through that narrow slit. Changing the combination on these locks is practically self-explanatory, just open the lock with the old combination, flip the switch and enter your new combination. The cable is plastic coated to help prevent rusting. Obviously, a bolt cutting will go through the cable in seconds, that is why I said that cable locks are the best choice for locking up plastic toolboxes. If you need more security, then buy a metal 14 AWG toolbox.

The combination reset procedure was easy to figure out, which is nice since this didn't come with any instructions. The problem here is that this is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. It would be useful to lock a front wheel to a frame but I think that's about it. I did pick this up specifically to use in support of a larger bike lock, so it's not like I was depending entirely on this one to be my security solution. Still, I needed and was expecting something with a little more length to it. In fairness I have yet to deploy this bike lock in the wild. If it turns out to solve my specific problem (locking 2 child's bikes together while using the main cable lock to secure them to the bike rack) I'll return here with the good news (and add a 4th star).
