After about 3000km on my commuter, the bearing seized, and I was left stranded on the road. Poor design or just crappy construction or materials. Not impressed with these jockeys.

The bearings lasted from 12/08/2020 to 07/25/2023~ almost 2.5 years before needing to be replaced due to the teeth separating from the bearing.

Worked well for couple months, then last night the guide pulley seized up (so i had to scoot the rest of the way home, at night in the rain!)Seems that the side-to-side forces on the bearing caps causes wear, so that eventually one cap wore out, which allowed excessive lateral play (I had noticed odd shifting lately) - and then it seems eventually dirt got in and the whole thing seized up.

Just decoration sure they have nice sealed bearings but shimano uses ceramic bearings that you can clean and rebuild, ceramic will always outperform ball bearings so theres zero improvement from that. These will not provide any shifting improvement that's not possible unless you're replacing something that's completely broken to begin with. That said they look great, just what I was looking for. Pretty.
