This product uses a hard rubber much like a toilet plunger. It blocks light well but also hurts your face to even use. I’m pretty disappointed, the pictures of the product look nice, but in reality the product fails to deliver a comfortable experience

Both pieces had imperfections from when I guess material is poured into a mold. The retaining ring is so flimsy I think I could blow on it and bend it. Worst thing was no instructions. I added an image to show how to install the thing. I purchased an rubber eyepiece for my D7100 and love it. I wanted as similar as I could find for my D4S. I will probably just throw this away and buy the OEN Nikon eyepiece that I assume is much better.

Buy Nikon OEM DK-19. This came in a sealed package and still both retaining rings were bent. Dont waste your time with this product.

With only two piece, you would think the installation would be straight forward. Unfortunately that is not the case, at least with my Nikon D810. It took several minutes of stretching, prying and forcing the locking ring into place before it seated properly. Even then, it's not the most solid fit. I'm not sure how long it will stay.
