Worked after I corrected a few issues. One module’s IN and OUT connectors were not soldered in properly and had to be straightened. The on/off switch on the other did not work, so I desoldered, cleaned and replaced it. Both are missing a 4.7K resistor on pin 7 of the 6N138, which I added. They arrived with no documentation nor pin out and the layout isn’t as flexible as others that allow a jumper or solder bridge to select a soft serial port. Traced through and generated my own schematic. I guess you get what you pay for.Edit: Discovered that the resistors on the board are 2.2K, not 220 as they should be. Causes sporadic operation. Lowering rating to 1 star.
